This little beauty was released in 2000 & to this day remains firmly in my top 3 tunes of all time… This is The Man With The Red live from Elysee Montmartre, Paris, France way back in the mid 2000’s and without doubt… Its timeless!
Disaster strikes leaving silence across Monkey Towers wasn’t quite what I’d hoped to write as the opening line on my first blog since the new site went live but then why do I ever think things will run smoothly? My 40th birthday trip to Amsterdam was out of the way and a long overdue mix for the podcast was ready for recording and live radio shows were scheduled so what happened a week or so ago was every DJ’s nightmare… My hard drive packed up! 20 years worth of music in excess of 12,000 tunes snatched from my grasp in an instant. I’ve no idea…
At long last the end is in sight! I am finally at the point of fine tuning a few things and deciding what to do with my widgets! At times I never thought I’d get here but I’ve only gone and bloody made it. The site is pretty much done and dusted on the front end now and this is really nothing but another test post to see whether subscribing to my blog via email actually works. Anyone who decides to in the not to distant future however must be a glutton for punishment!!
Well here’s another test post as the quest to build this website continues! The hardest thing I’ve found so far has been writing about myself. Quite how people decide they have enough in their locker to write a full book about themselves is beyond me. It took an age to say what I wanted and I was only writing a few words!! I don’t ever want to have to put myself through that again… Hopefully now though things will quicken up in terms of getting this bloody thing finished. Here’s living in hope!
Well this is officially my first ever entry on a blog! To be fair it’s merely a test post but if you are reading this then there is a fair chance that the new Northern Monkey website has gone live… Happy days!
